Let’s go in depth.

I joined BuilderPal as a full-time Digital Media Specialist at the beginning of 2025, and have managed a plethora of design aspects of the company. I created business cards, created a variety of physical merchandise to give away, solidified the logo set, brand colours, fonts, and re-designed their entire website. I also helped with the UX/UI within the app, helped with the design of email notification variants, and created, published, and managed all posts on their social media accounts.

The Steps

Research

Every unique design task begins with research. While figuring out who the target customers were,

I created User Personas for Trades and Contractors. I also analyze the competitors within the industry, and figure out what works/doesn’t work with their website, branding, and marketing, and find out ways to utilize the gaps created in their strategy.

Development

Once I have finished the research phase, I create multiple options for potential future directions. I work with the Design Lead and the CEO to ensure it matches our brand direction.

From there, I work within Asana and Linear to keep track of my tasks, and utilize Nova, Grok, Claude, Antigravity, Pencil, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Miro to assist me with the creation of the designs for the company.

Execution

As a Digital Media Specialist, I have learned to navigate various applications and software, refining my workflow and adapting to last-minute changes without losing attachment to my designs. This role has allowed me to explore a new management style and thrive in different environments. I actively research and develop innovative design concepts, executing them effectively across multiple media to meet project goals.
