Smoke ‘Em All

Let’s go in depth.
Trees Cannabis is a dispensary primarily located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
Their goal was to promote partner businesses and products while keeping customers intrigued and entertained with a visually appealing, cohesive booklet available in-store to show customers what they’re buying and how to use it.
The Steps
Research
I researched the other cannabis stores in the area online and analyzed positive and negative points in their marketing and advertising. I found underdeveloped areas in print marketing when I realized that Gen Z and Millennials love free samples.
I dove into their customer demographics and searched for a print media solution capable of entertaining and enlightening their client base for no extra charge.
Development
The chosen print medium was a 16-page, 8x8 booklet to be handed out to new visitors and customers who walked in.
The client wanted a booklet that shows new clients' products, keeps the stoners entertained, and educates those who know little about weed about different strains and their respective effects, so they can have more information when choosing the right type of cannabis for them.
Execution
A 16-page magazine was developed for the project, including Quizzes, Interviews, Advertisements, Recipes, and more. I experimented with creating a few page templates for different content and played with color palettes and layout designs while getting the booklet ready for print production.
I am proud of my consistency and attention to detail for this project, and I feel this was a successful example of Editorial Design and Branding Design.
